Agartala, Jan 20: The Government of Tripura has announced that Dr. Arijit Das, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at B.B.M. College, Agartala, has been selected for the prestigious State Civil Award for Scientific and Environmental Activities, 2026.
In an official notification issued by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA), the government stated that the award recognises Dr. Das’s significant contributions to society through his work in scientific research and environmental initiatives.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on January 21 at 12 noon in Hall No. 1 of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala, as part of the Statehood Day celebrations. Dr. Das has been requested to be present at the venue by 11.30 a.m. for the programme.
