Tripura, 1 Jan 2026: The third death anniversary of Padmashree late N.C. Debbarma, founder of the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), first president of the party, and former minister of the Tripura government, was observed with due respect and solemnity on January 1, 2026.
On this occasion, a memorial meeting was organised by the IPFT Bishramganj Divisional Committee. The programme was attended by Divisional President Uttam Debbarma, along with party leaders Kanai Debbarma, Benulal Debbarma, Dayal Hari Debbarma, Chita Haran Debbarma, and several other party members and supporters.
During the meeting, speakers reflected on the life, struggles, and ideals of late N.C. Debbarma. Floral tributes were paid, and prayers were offered for the peace of his departed soul.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted that N.C. Debbarma’s contribution to the Indigenous community and to Tripura’s political landscape remains unforgettable and continues to inspire future generations.
