AGARTALA: Heading into the municipal elections, CPI(M) leader Jitendra Chaudhury launched a scathing attack on the state’s urban management, highlighting infrastructure degradation and everyday corruption as primary campaign issues. Chaudhury alleged that despite public spending claims, basic amenities like roads and drainage remain in disrepair, while citizens are subjected to forced commissions for routine construction activities. He affirmed that the opposition will unite voters around demands for administrative accountability and civic restoration.
