Dharmanagar, September 3: A four-and-a-half-year-old gorl, Riddhi Pal, died after sustaining severe head injuries in a road accident while returning home from school in an e-rickshaw in Dharmanagar. The accident reportedly occurred when the e-rickshaw fell into a pothole on a damaged road.
Riddhi was a nursery student of Triveni Child Education School and a resident of Ward No. 5 of Baruakandi. His father is Rupan Pal.
After receiving information about the accident, firefighters and rescue personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the critically injured child. He was immediately taken to the district hospital for treatment.
According to doctors, Riddhi had suffered a deep head injury and was bleeding continuously from his nose. Despite efforts to revive him, he died shortly after being admitted to the hospital.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
