Tripura, 02 Sep 2026: Candidates contesting the upcoming TTAADC Village Committee (VC) elections will be able to submit their nomination papers on September 4 and 5, 2026, despite both days being holidays.
The Tripura State Election Commission notified the decision on Wednesday, clarifying that nomination papers can be submitted on these two holidays as part of the election process.
The State Election Commission had announced the schedule for the TTAADC Village Committee elections on August 31, 2026. According to the notified schedule, September 8, 2026, is the last date for filing nominations.
The move to allow nomination submission on September 4 and 5 is expected to provide candidates with additional opportunities to complete the nomination process ahead of the deadline.
