Tripura, 21 August 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Friday called upon newly inducted Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers to work with transparency, honesty and dedication, rising above caste and creed, and to act as a bridge between the administration and the people.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while inaugurating the certificate distribution ceremony for the TCS 2026 batch following the completion of their training at Pragna Bhavan. The programme was organised by the P&T Department and SIPARD.
Addressing the newly inducted officers, Dr. Saha said knowledge, dedication and skill are the key to development, while good deeds build a person’s identity. He stressed that officers who are willing to take on greater challenges and continuously improve their skills will become more efficient administrators.
The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed strong emphasis on skill development to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He said Tripura is also moving towards the goal of Viksit Tripura through coordination between the state administration and elected public representatives.
Dr. Saha emphasised that transparency must be maintained in the implementation of development projects. He urged the newly inducted officers to gain experience, continuously upgrade their skills according to changing needs and work harder for the people to earn their trust and goodwill.
He also highlighted the government’s efforts towards building a Digital India, saying Tripura is moving in the same direction.
The Chief Minister said a government job should not merely be viewed as a means of livelihood but as an opportunity to serve the people. He noted that Tripura has secured the second position among the northeastern states in terms of GDP, besides receiving several awards for its developmental initiatives. He also recalled the successful organisation of the G20 Summit in the state.
Dr. Saha said the government is recruiting new officers with the objective of ensuring effective implementation of various development projects. For successful execution, he stressed, officials must be skilled, honest and committed to transparent governance.
He further said socio-economic development can be achieved only through transparent implementation of government projects and noted that NITI Aayog has recognised Tripura as a “Front Runner State” for its developmental performance.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, while addressing the newly inducted TCS officers, said their induction would provide further momentum to administrative work in the state.
The welcome address was delivered by SIPARD Director Apurba Roy.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha subsequently handed over certificates to 27 newly inducted TCS officers and wished them success in their careers.
