Agartala, July 13: A man identified as Bishnu Banik was found hanging inside his rented room in the Vidyasagar Professor Para area of Agartala on Monday, triggering concern among local residents.
According to preliminary information, Banik was originally from the Khowai-Kalyanpur area and was reportedly employed with Bajaj in Kashipur. He had been staying in a rented room at the residence of Jaydeep Sen Chowdhury.
The incident came to light after local residents noticed the situation and informed the police. A police team soon reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. The exact cause is expected to become clearer following the post-mortem examination and further investigation.
