Kumarghat: Mar 05: A written complaint has been submitted to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Office Kumarghat alleging the inclusion of several unidentified voters in the electoral roll of Booth No. 4/4 at Saipuibual Halam Basti Junior Basic School under Madhuban Village Committee.
According to the complaint, the issue concerns the voter list under the Karamcherra (ST) Constituency. After verifying the recently published electoral rolls, local residents reportedly detected multiple names that they claim are illegal or unidentified voters.
The complaint specifically lists the following serial numbers for immediate verification and deletion from the final voter list: 253, 255, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260, 261, 262, 263, 265, 266, 267, 268, 269, 270, 272, 273, 274, and 275.
The representation was submitted by Mintu Pampura, who urged the administration to take the matter seriously and remove the names if found invalid before the final publication of the electoral roll.
Residents have requested the authorities to conduct a proper verification to ensure the voter list remains accurate and free from any unauthorized entries.
Officials are yet to issue a formal response regarding the allegations.
