Tripura, 04 March 2026: A missing child, Naba Kishore Chakma, was successfully rescued on Wednesday, bringing relief to the authorities of Ampura Government Boys’ Hostel in Khowai district.
According to reports, Naba Kishore Chakma, aged 12, son of Manimoy Chakma and a resident of the Pecharthal police station area, was staying at the Ampura Government Student Hostel in Khowai.
Sources from the hostel stated that the boy went missing from the hostel earlier in the morning. After his disappearance, the hostel authorities informed the police and a missing diary was lodged at Baijalbari Police Station.
Later in the afternoon, around 3 PM, police informed that the boy had been found. It was learned that Naba Kishore Chakma had reached near the 6th Battalion TSR camp from Rampura. TSR personnel noticed the child and detained him before handing him over to Khowai Police.
The successful recovery of the boy brought a sense of relief among the officials of the government hostel.
