Agartala, 31 Dec 2025: An AI Help Desk was inaugurated at Govind Ballabh Pant (GB Pant) Hospital on December 29 with the aim of improving patient services and easing hospital navigation. The facility was formally inaugurated by Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) Principal Professor (Dr.) Anup Kumar Saha.
The inauguration programme was attended by Vice-Principal Professor (Dr.) Tapan Majumdar, Medical Superintendent of AGMC & GB Hospital Dr. Biplab Goswami, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Kanak Choudhury, Deputy Medical Superintendent (RKS) Dr. Abhijit Sarkar, RMO Dr. Bikash Debbarma, along with other faculty members of AGMC.
The AI Help Desk has been introduced to ensure that patients and their attendants visiting GB Hospital do not face difficulties in accessing services. The system will provide accurate information regarding various departments and wards of the hospital, helping visitors navigate the premises smoothly and obtain correct guidance without confusion.
According to a press release issued by the Health Department, the initiative is expected to significantly enhance patient experience and streamline information delivery within the hospital premises.
