Bridgetown, Barbados, October 10: The four-day 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Conference concluded today in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados. Tripura Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Pal participated as a member of the Indian delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
During the conference, Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Pal highlighted various aspects of Tripura’s socio-economic development, as well as parliamentary experiences and success stories from the Northeastern region of India. He emphasized that the Tripura Legislative Assembly has always upheld the core values of democracy while working for the welfare and progress of its people.


Pal further stated that such international conferences create opportunities for mutual exchange of experiences and learning from one another, which contributes to building stronger and more effective democratic institutions in the future.
The conference was attended by parliamentary representatives, presidents, and prime ministers from 56 Commonwealth countries, along with the Chairperson, Secretary-General, and distinguished members of the International Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
