Agartala, October 10, 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha emphasized that District Magistrates and all district-level officers must perform their duties with greater responsibility to ensure the proper implementation of the various welfare schemes initiated by the state government. “Only through sincere effort can we win the trust of the people. This is the essence of good governance,” said the Chief Minister while addressing a review meeting on the Task Monitoring System at the Secretariat’s Video Conference Hall today.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted the need for all departments to work in close coordination to achieve better outcomes. He reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse and directed officials to take necessary measures to combat the issue effectively.
The meeting also discussed various key issues, including improving the condition of motor stands across the state, adopting advanced and durable technology for road construction, organizing awareness programs in dengue- and malaria-prone areas, strengthening electricity and safe drinking water services, and other development priorities.
Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed concerned officials to take steps to encourage farmers in Jampui Hills to resume orange cultivation.
Chief Secretary Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey, Finance Secretary Apurba Roy, along with other departmental secretaries and directors, attended the meeting. District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police from all eight districts joined the session virtually.
