Agartala, Sept 21: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tripura on September 22, the West Tripura District Magistrate has issued an order imposing traffic restrictions in Agartala for security and smooth movement.
According to the order, vehicular movement from Agartala MBB Airport to Sekerkote will remain restrictedbetween 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM on the day of the visit. The restrictions apply to all heavy vehicles including trucks carrying bricks, cement, rods, bamboo, and similar construction materials.
Emergency service vehicles have been requested to use alternative routes during the restricted hours.
The District Magistrate has identified the following alternative routes for smooth traffic flow:
- Naraynpur – Narsingarh – Ramnagar – Gandhigram Bazar – Shalbagan – Rubber Board – Chanmari
- GB – Indranagar – Dhaleswar – Math Chowmuhani – Jogendranagar – Bypass
- Adinagar – Battala – Fire Service – Ker Chowmuhani – Shankar Chowmuhani – Barjala – Moylakhla (via Bharat Ratna Club) – MBB Airport
- GB – ILS – SDO Chowmuhani – Nandan Nagar – Banikya Chowmuhani – Khayerpur – Amtali – Khayerpur Bypass – Amtali
The administration has urged citizens to cooperate with the restrictions to ensure the Prime Minister’s visit passes smoothly.
