Agartala, Sept 19: The Tripura Legislative Assembly today adopted three separate congratulatory resolutions on the success of anti-terror Operation Sindoor, the historic achievement of mountaineer Aritra Roy in scaling Mount Everest, and Indian Air Force officer Shubhanshu Shukla’s space mission, making him the second Indian astronaut after Rakesh Sharma.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha moved the resolution on Operation Sindhur, stating that through the mission India not only gave a befitting reply to the inhuman massacres in the Kashmir Valley but also proved to the world that the country remains ever-vigilant, strong, and prepared to strike across the border when necessary. He termed the operation a historic milestone in India’s fight against terrorism and credited the victory to the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The House extended respect and congratulations to the Prime Minister, Defence Minister, National Security Advisor, Chief of Defence Staff, the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, BSF, and all soldiers who have pledged to defend the nation.
Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy moved the second resolution congratulating Tripura’s youth Aritra Roy, who successfully scaled Mount Everest on May 19 this year, calling his feat a matter of immense pride for the state. The minister said Aritra’s achievement would inspire the younger generation of Tripura.
The third resolution, moved by Science, Technology & Environment Minister Animesh Debbarma, congratulated Indian Air Force officer Shubhanshu Shukla for his successful space mission. He said Shukla’s journey to space has made the entire nation proud.
