Tripura September 1: In a significant step towards strengthening local administration, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Purna Chandra Jamatia, today inaugurated the newly established office of the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department (PWD), Gomati Division at Raio, Killa.
The new office is expected to bring administration closer to the people, ensuring faster delivery of services and better accessibility for the public. The inauguration ceremony was attended by EM-PWD & RD, Runiel Debbarma (TIPRA), MDC Sadagar Kalai, ZDC Chairman Jyotish Jamatia, along with senior officials, staff, and local dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, CEM Jamatia said the initiative reflects the vision of TIPRA Motha party Founder Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma. “Our Bubagra’s vision was to establish a PWD office in Raio village under Gomati district division. Despite limited funds, we have made this possible for the benefit of our Tiprasa people. This office will not only function today but continue to serve future generations. It marks the opening of a door towards development,” he remarked.
The CEM further noted that the office will play a crucial role in mobilizing funds for infrastructure, particularly road construction, across the region. The establishment of the PWD division is being seen as a milestone that will accelerate development in Gomati and nearby areas.
