Agartala, August 26: Education leads people from ignorance to the light of knowledge, and it also helps in the development of inner strength. With this belief, the Tripura Government has been working tirelessly to provide quality education to students through various initiatives, while also significantly upgrading the state’s educational infrastructure. As a result, students are now able to pursue higher education within the state itself, said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha while addressing the Chief Minister’s Annual State Award for Academic Excellence ceremony at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan today.
The Chief Minister told students that to achieve goals, one must first dream, and the key to fulfilling those dreams lies within themselves. Success, he said, can only be attained through patience, dedication, hard work, and true education.
Highlighting the purpose of the award, the Chief Minister said that it is meant to encourage students and to inspire them to become good human beings. He stressed that real education goes beyond textbooks its true meaning lies in the willingness to stand beside others in times of need. He also noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi often emphasizes that youth are the nation’s greatest strength, and by nurturing them with proper education, national development becomes possible. “Our children have no shortage of talent. What they need is the right planning and genuine education, and the state government is working in that direction,” he added.
Education Department Director N. C. Sharma also spoke at the event. Among others present were Special Secretary of Education Ravel Hemendra Kumar and Director of SCERT L. Darlong. This year, a total of 228 students from various government, government-aided, and Vidyajyoti schools who secured top scores in Class X and XII examinations will be presented with tablets under the award. On the occasion, the Chief Minister symbolically handed over tablets and certificates to five students on stage.
