Ramnagar, August 24, 2025: Rising Sun International School (RSIS) successfully organized its much-awaited Annual English and Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition at the school auditorium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Nursery to Class 8, who showcased their talent through inspiring solo recitations centered around the theme “National Poets of India.”
The program began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the school management committee, symbolizing the spirit of learning and creativity. The competition was judged by esteemed educators Ashit Ghosh, Ajit Kumar, and Sankar Manna, who praised the students’ expressive performances and their ability to vividly portray themes of patriotism and bravery.
The event was graced by Principal Sambhunath Kar, Manoj Kumar Yadav, coordinators, teachers, parents, and students, adding to the significance of the occasion. Guided by the dedicated efforts of Miss Priti, the program turned into a grand celebration of literature and culture.
Among the winners, in the Solo Poetry Recitation (Classes 7–8) category, Imran Ansari secured the first position, followed by Chandra Kumar and Md. Mobashir. The competition across all classes highlighted the budding literary talents of RSIS students.
What made the event remarkable was the passion with which participants recited the works of eminent national poets of India, including Rabindranath Tagore, Shyam Narayan Pandey, and Dwarika Prasad Maheshwari. Their timeless poems on patriotism, nature, bravery, and cultural pride deeply resonated with the audience and left a lasting impression.
The competition concluded with a note of encouragement for students to continue embracing literature as a powerful medium of creativity and learning. The event truly stood as a memorable celebration of English and Hindi literature at RSIS, Ramnagar, Sahibganj.
