KILLA, 14 August 2025: Today, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Purna Chandra Jamatia, distributed footballs and jerseys to both boys and girls at Mwitulwng School, under the Killa area.
Speaking at the event, CEM Jamatia said, “This may be a small programme, but it is very important for you. In the Killa area, we have distributed jerseys to around 80 teams. I am happy to share that this is the first time I have distributed jerseys to the students of Mwitulwng School “I have never done this in any other school before.”

Encouraging the students, he added, “Through football, you can achieve many things in life. The sports master sitting here was once a student just like you. By focusing on his work back then, he has reached where he is today. I cannot decide what you should become in life some of you may want to become teachers, some sports masters, some will go into other professions, and some may even become politicians like us to serve people. But whatever you choose to do, do it with full concentration.”

He reminded the students that studies must remain a priority: “Studying at home is compulsory don’t feel lazy. This is the time to work and study with full energy. Sports keep you active both mentally and physically. If you bring fame to yourself, your village will also earn respect. Always aim to become a knowledgeable person. Your parents are working hard to educate you, so study well and work with a clear target in life”
The jersey distribution programme was attended by YTF Killa President Naresh Jamatia, school teachers, sports teachers, and other social workers.
