On August 11, a three-member delegation led by H.E. Lee Seong-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, paid a courtesy visit to Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha at the State Secretariat.
During the meeting, discussions were held on various issues of mutual interest between South Korea and the state. The Chief Minister stated that India enjoys strong relations with South Korea, and establishing commercial ties between Tripura and South Korea would further strengthen this bond.
He also briefed the Ambassador on Tripura’s socio-economic development, improvements in connectivity, and progress in sectors such as industry and sports.
The South Korean Ambassador was also informed about Tripura’s rich folk culture, industrial potential, tourism prospects, and transport infrastructure.
Public Works Department Secretary Kiran Gitte was present and took part in the discussions.
