Agartala, August 1: The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the Young Talent Artist Award for the years 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26. The award aims to recognize and encourage young talents from the Northeastern region of India in various traditional and folk art forms.
Applicants must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of any of the eight Northeastern states. As per the eligibility criteria, artists between the ages of 18 and 30 years as of March 31, 2023, can apply. The award is open to individuals who have made notable contributions in fields such as folk/tribal music and dance, theatre, mime, painting, wood/bamboo/cane crafts, traditional handloom and handicrafts, pottery, and other related art forms.
However, those who have already received this award in the past are not eligible to apply again.
Each award carries a cash prize of ₹20,000, along with a citation and a memento.
Application forms can be downloaded from the official NEZCC website at: https://nezccdimapur.org.in/Home/Advertisement. Forms are also available at the respective State Cultural Departments, Shilpagram in Guwahati, and the NEZCC office in Dimapur.
In Tripura, eligible candidates must submit their completed application forms to the Directorate of Information and Cultural Affairs, located at Gandhighat, Agartala, by August 12, 2025.
