Agartala, July 24: The Government of Tripura is committed to providing basic services to its citizens and resolving their grievances effectively, said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha during a review meeting on helpline services held today at Conference Hall No. 2 of the State Secretariat.
The meeting focused on the functioning of the CM Helpline Number 1905 and other departmental helpline portals. The Chief Minister highlighted that CM Helpline 1905 is acting as a crucial bridge between the government and the people, especially during times of emergency.
He stressed the need to increase public awareness about the helpline numbers, including those run by various departments, so that citizens can make better use of them when needed. “Awareness campaigns through schools, colleges, and outreach camps must be strengthened to bring these helpline services to the attention of the general public,” said Dr. Saha.
He urged all departments to work in coordination and be proactive in resolving complaints promptly. The Chief Minister also reviewed the performance and implementation status of all departmental helplines during the meeting.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha noted that the CM Helpline 1905, along with other helplines, plays a vital role in emergency response. He informed the gathering that the Prime Minister’s Office has also appreciated the functioning of the CM Helpline in Tripura. The Chief Secretary emphasized regular monitoring of all helpline services to ensure efficiency and responsiveness.
Earlier, Secretary of the Good Governance Department, Kiran Gitte, presented a detailed visual report on the functioning of CM Helpline 1905. Director General of Police Anurag also gave an overview of five key helpline numbers under the Home Department.
Additionally, the meeting included presentations on ambulance services, disaster management department’s online services, child helpline, and helpline numbers for senior citizens, among others.
