Tripura, 21 July 2025: Around 8 AM today, a scooter accident occurred near Jobbotilla Bazaar under Khowai Police Station jurisdiction, leaving two individuals injured. The incident took place when the scooter lost control and crashed in the area.
Local residents who witnessed the accident quickly informed the Khowai Fire Service. Responding swiftly, firefighters arrived at the scene and rescued the injured individuals, taking them to Khowai District Hospital. One of the victims, identified as Sourap Debbarma from Songkhola Hatimara, sustained serious injuries and is currently under treatment.
Khowai police also reached the spot upon receiving information and have seized the scooter involved in the accident. A fire service official confirmed the details.
