Tripura, 12 Juli, 2025: A meeting of the Inter-State Truck Terminal Development Society was held today at the conference hall of the Inter-State Truck Terminal located in Madhavbari, Jirania. Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury emphasized the need for smoother functioning of the terminal. He stated that all pending works of the terminal must be completed promptly. He also directed administrative officials to ensure there is no disorder or inconvenience caused to truck drivers or associated personnel inside the terminal premises. A balance of responsibilities must be maintained among all stakeholders, he added.
The Transport Minister further highlighted the need for professionalism and mutual cooperation in the effective and disciplined management of the terminal.
Among others present at the meeting were Jirania Panchayat Samiti Chairman Pritam Debnath, Ranirbazar Municipal Council Vice Chairperson Prabin Kumar Das, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Animesh Dhar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Rural) Himadri Prasad Das, noted social worker Gouranga Bhowmik, Ranjit Roy Chowdhury, along with members of the Terminal Development Society and representatives from the PWD and various departments associated with the terminal’s development.
