Agartala, July 2: In view of the upcoming Kharchi Puja celebrations, the West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar has issued traffic movement and parking restrictions in and around the Old Agartala temple area. The order will remain effective from July 3 to July 10, between 8 AM and 11 PM daily.
As per the notification:
Parking Zones:
- Vehicles from Agartala to park at Bijoy Sangh and Dashamighat Ground.
- From Jirania and Champaknagar: Parking at Dolura (near Budhai School Ground).
- Government vehicles: Pallimangal School Ground.
- From Bishalgarh via bypass: Kalitala.
- From Baldakhal: Shibbari.
- From Tulakona: Meghlipara.
- From Sadar North via Banikya Chowmuhani: Shankar Sarani – Yatrabari Road (one side only).

No-Parking Zones:
- Bijoy Sangh Drop Gate to Dolura Drop Gate on NH-44.
- Briddhanagar to Chandrapur on NH-44.
- Kathiya Baba Ashram (Bypass junction) to Khayerpur.
Vehicle Entry Prohibited:
- For heavy vehicles: Madhabbari to Amtali on NH-44.
- Khayerpur Howrah Bridge to Debta Bari.
- Chandrapur to Baldakhal via Old Agartala.
- Kalitala to Debta Bari via Amtali–Khayerpur Bypass Road.
The administration has urged the public and devotees to cooperate with the regulations to ensure smooth movement and safety during the festival.
