Jammu, July 1, 2025: Ahead of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, the administration has finalized robust security measures along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to ensure the smooth and secure movement of pilgrims. A multi-tiered security grid involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and the Indian Army has been deployed. Key focus areas include vulnerable highway stretches, where Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), night patrols, and round-the-clock surveillance are now operational. Authorities have incorporated modern surveillance technologies, including CCTV monitoring, drone patrols, and anti-sabotage checks, to bolster vigilance.

Pilgrim convoys will travel under armed escort and within strictly regulated time slots to maintain high security standards. Several checkpoints and frisking stations have been established at strategic points to prevent any potential security breach. Emergency response units, including medical teams and rescue services, have also been deployed along the Yatra route. Officials have urged all pilgrims to follow official guidelines and cooperate with security personnel.
Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the nearest security post. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe, peaceful, and spiritually enriching experience for all Amarnath Yatra participants this year.
