Srinagar, May 7: All Hajj flights scheduled to depart from Srinagar International Airport on May 7 and 8, 2025, have been cancelled due to the prevailing situation following Operation Sindoor.
Authorities made the decision as a precautionary measure, citing security concerns in the aftermath of the high-level operation.

Hundreds of pilgrims who were preparing to embark on the sacred journey to Mecca have been affected, with officials advising them to stay in touch with the Hajj Committee and local administration for further updates. The sudden cancellation has led to anxiety among pilgrims and their families, many of whom had completed all travel formalities.
Officials have assured that rescheduling information will be provided as soon as the situation permits. Operation Sindoor, which unfolded earlier this week, continues to impact normalcy across sensitive regions, prompting heightened alert and travel restrictions. Further updates are awaited from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Hajj authorities.
