Tripura, 4 May 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today conducted an on-site inspection of various civic development works under Agartala Municipal Corporation, including construction of covered drains, drainage systems, and roadworks in Wards 16, 20, and 32.
He reviewed the progress of these initiatives and assessed their on-ground status. During the visit, the Chief Minister also inspected the ongoing renovation of Agartala Town Hall, the construction work at Kshetramohan School in Shantipara, the Howrah Riverfront Project, and several areas in Ramnagar, including Singh Para and RMS Chowmuhani.

He also interacted with local residents to gather their feedback and concerns. Speaking to reporters, CM Saha emphasized that the government’s objective is not merely to win elections but to ensure the welfare of the people. He said the purpose of today’s visit was to get firsthand updates on the status of various urban development projects. He directed officials to complete the projects within stipulated timelines while maintaining quality and ensuring coordination among departments.
Accompanying the Chief Minister were Agartala Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, Corporator Ratna Dutta, social worker Shyamal Kumar Deb, PWD Secretary Kiran Gitte, Urban Development Secretary Abhishek Singh, Agartala Smart City Ltd. CEO Shailesh Kumar Yadav, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, and other senior PWD officials.
