Peace Established in the Northeast Through Consistent Efforts of Central Government: Governor
Northeast, 12 April 2025: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has called for the formulation of both short-term and long-term plans to build a developed India. He made this appeal while attending a symposium titled ‘Future Roadmap – Northeast India: 2030 and Beyond’, organized by the Assam Rifles at Hotel Polo Towers on 11 April.
The Governor said that Northeast India, with its rich biodiversity, natural resources, human capital, cultural diversity, and strategic geographical location, can serve as a driving force for the nation’s growth. He emphasized that sustained efforts by the Central Government have led to the establishment of peace in the region, which is now steadily moving towards prosperity.

Expressing hope, the Governor said the symposium would feature detailed discussions on various opportunities and challenges and bring forth constructive proposals aimed at ensuring peace and prosperity in the region. He wished the symposium great success. During the event, Lieutenant General A.S. Pentharkar, AVSM, YSM, GOC – 3 Corps, felicitated Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.
Notable speakers at the symposium included Professor Dr. Prabir De (RIS), Dr. Sreeradha Dutta (Jindal Global University), and Brigadier Rajdeep Chanda (National Defence College, New Delhi). Brigadier Manish Rana, SM, Commander of 21 Sector Assam Rifles, delivered the vote of thanks.
