From April 5: Three-Day ‘Bipul Charu and Karu Kala Utsav’ in Agartala
Agartala, 01 April, 2025: For the first time, the Bipul Charu and Karu Kala Utsav 2025 (Bipulkanti Saha State Art & Craft Festival) is set to take place in Agartala. Organized by the Department of Information & Cultural Affairs, the three-day festival will be held from April 5 to April 7, 2025, at the Government College of Art & Craft, Lichubagan.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will inaugurate the festival on April 5 at 4 PM. The event will bring together artists from across the state, including performers from the Lalit Kala Academy (Agartala Center), students from the Government College of Art & Craft, and students from the Department of Visual Arts, Tripura University. As part of the festival, art exhibitions, cultural performances, and seminars will be held daily in the evening.
On April 6 from 3 PM, a Sit & Draw competition will be organized for children in three categories 0-6 years, 6-9 years, and 9-12 years. The festival is expected to draw significant participation from artists, students, and art enthusiasts, aiming to highlight Tripura’s artistic heritage and craftsmanship.
