Tripura 12 March, 2025: In the 39th edition of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha once again interacted with the public at his official residence.
This weekly initiative provides citizens with an opportunity to discuss various issues, including healthcare, employment, and land-related concerns, directly with the Chief Minister. The participants left reassured after receiving guidance and solutions from the CM. One of the key cases presented today was that of Koel Sinha from Fultali, Kailashahar, who is currently undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.
Doctors have advised her to undergo a bone marrow transplant, a costly procedure. Her father, a TSR jawan, sought financial assistance from the CM, who assured necessary support. Similarly, Biplab Das from AD Nagar, Agartala, sought help for his wife’s thalassemia treatment. In response, the CM directed officials to arrange financial aid through the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department. Another appeal came from Ranbir Acharya of Amatali’s Pal Para, who requested support for his daughter’s medical treatment. The CM immediately consulted the medical superintendent of GB Hospital and instructed necessary action.
Bishnupriya Sutradhar, a resident of South Joynagar, applied for financial assistance, to which the CM directed the Social Welfare and Social Education Department to provide a pension for her daughter. Several others, including Partha Pratim Roy from Bardowali, Babulal Debnath from West Khupilong, Sathi Rani Pal from Joynagar, Priyanka Bhattacharya from Krishnanagar, and Kaberi Deb from Sukanta Palli, Kumarghat, also approached the CM for medical assistance. After reviewing their documents, the CM instructed the superintendents of GB Hospital and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital to take necessary action.
The programme was attended by CM’s Secretary Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Health and Family Welfare Secretary Kiran Gitte, Social Welfare and Social Education Secretary Tapas Roy, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, GB Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital Medical Superintendent S. Debbarma.
