Khumulwng, March 7: On the first day of the TTAADC Budget Session, Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia tabled the proposed budget for the financial year 2025-26, amounting to ₹1,840 crores.
According to the budget estimates, 60% of the total allocation has been earmarked for developmental projects, while 34% will be spent on salaries, recruitment, and committed liabilities.
The remaining 6% is designated for pension benefits. Addressing the council, CEM Jamatia emphasized that the budget aims to accelerate developmental initiatives while ensuring financial stability in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
This budget session, which began today, will continue until March 10.
