Tripura 5 March, 2025: A significant political shift took place today at Booth No. 22 in Gopalnagar, under the Kalyanpur-Pramodnagar Assembly constituency, where a crucial courtyard meeting was held. The event was strategically organized to reinforce the party’s organizational structure in anticipation of the Youth Morcha rally at Chebri School Ground on March 5 and the grand BJP rally in Agartala on March 9.
The gathering was graced by the presence of Kalyanpur MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, the Kalyanpur Mandal President, Youth Morcha leaders, and other key party functionaries. During the meeting, 18 voters from six families formally severed ties with the CPI(M) and pledged their allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). They were warmly received into the BJP fold by MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, the Mandal President, and other senior leaders, who extended their heartfelt congratulations and support.
Addressing the assembly, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury stated, “Inspired by the visionary developmental initiatives and people-centric welfare policies of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an increasing number of citizens are placing their faith in the BJP. The BJP-led government remains unwavering in its commitment to public welfare, which is why the party’s influence continues to grow across the state.”
He further emphasized that the upcoming historic rally in Agartala on March 9 is expected to witness an unprecedented turnout, serving as a testament to the party’s growing support and significantly shaping Tripura’s evolving political landscape. During the meeting, BJP leaders highlighted a range of welfare schemes and developmental projects spearheaded by both the central and state governments.
They reaffirmed the party’s dedication to ensuring that government services reach every household efficiently and urged the local populace to come together under the BJP’s banner for a stronger and more progressive future.
This courtyard meeting marked a pivotal moment in BJP’s organizational expansion. The defection of 18 voters from CPI(M) to BJP is anticipated to introduce a new dimension to the region’s political dynamics, signaling a broader shift in voter sentiment, according to political analysts.
