3rd March 2025, Agartala: Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society (MMCWS) proudly marks its 3rd Foundation Day on 2nd March 2025, reaffirming its mission to provide support, awareness, and care to cancer patients and their families. Since its inception, the organization has been dedicated to offering medical assistance, emotional support, and preventive awareness programs, making a significant impact in the fight against cancer.
The celebration, held at Agartala Press Club witnessed the presence of esteemed doctors, cancer survivors, social workers, and community leaders. The event featured inspiring stories of resilience, expert discussions on cancer prevention, and the launch of new initiatives aimed at early detection and affordable treatment options for underprivileged patients.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society, Shreya Debnath, said, “These three years have been a journey of hope and determination. We have touched countless lives, but our work is far from over. With continued support, we aim to expand our outreach programs, strengthen patient care services, and work towards a cancer-free future.”
The event has been graced by our Special Guest namely Shri Sidhartha Das, Associate Professor, Tripura Institute of Technology; Dr. Subhashish Roy, Deputy Director, Blood Transfusion Services; Shri Chandan Sarkar, Tripura Blood Transfusion Service, Advisor – MMCWS, Shri. C V Raman, International Oncology Cancer Institute, Advisor – MMCWS. Dr Kishalay, Oncologist, International Oncology Cancer Institute, Shri Ramsankar Bhattacharjee, Joint Registrar High Court of Tripura (Retd.), Advisor – MMCWS, Shri Sanjoy Bhattacharjee, Chief Manager State Bank of India (Retd.) Advisor – MMCWS, Sneha Gupta Roy, President, Swabhiman NGO ( LGBTQ+).
One of the key highlights of the event was Cancer Awareness Session by Dr. kishalay. The event also witnessed musical performances by Arnav Sarkar Priyashi Saha and, a very soulful Flute performance by Aniket Das and a recitation by Sumana Mishra. Few Cancer Survivors shared their experiences and success stories of various support received from MMCWS.
Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society extends heartfelt gratitude to all its supporters, volunteers, and donors who have been instrumental in its journey. As the organization steps into another year, it remains steadfast in its commitment to spreading awareness, providing care, and giving hope to those battling cancer.
