Tripura 1 March, 2025: In a bold challenge to North Tripura’s Superintendent of Police, IPS Avinash Roy, and Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Police Officer B. Jorin Puiya, a gang of thieves looted two houses in a single night, making away with cash, gold ornaments, and other valuable items.
The incidents took place late on Friday night in the Padmapur area under Dharmanagar Police Station. According to reports, on Saturday morning, the police received information about two separate burglary cases in Madhubari Road and Harichand Road in Padmapur.
Acting on the report, Inspector Suleman Reang from the local police station rushed to the spot with his team. Upon investigation, they found that thieves had broken into the residence of Chanchala Talukdar in Madhubari, taking advantage of the deserted surroundings. They looted ₹10,000 in cash, gold ornaments, and other valuable items.
Similarly, another burglary was reported in the residence of Rupak Debnath on Harichand Road, where the thieves stole ₹10,000 in cash, six tolas of silver, and other belongings. Inspector Suleman Reang confirmed that separate cases have been registered in connection with both burglaries, and an investigation is underway.
