Tripura 20 Feb, 2025: A three-day training program on “Production Technology of Dragon Fruit” sponsored by ICAR-NIBSM, Raipur was successfully conducted at Multi-Technology Testing Centreand Vocational Training Centre (MTTC & VTC), College of Fisheries, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Lembucherra from February 17-19, 2025. The program aimed at imparting practical knowledge on scientific method of dragon fruit cultivation. During the training, special emphasis was given to nursery management, propagation techniques, planting, training and pruning, nutrition, pest and disease management of dragon fruit.
At the concluding session, Prof. A. B. Patel, Dean of the college emphasized the potential of dragon fruit as a high-value crop and encouraged participants to follow scientific methods for increasing yields and income. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Ashok Chhetri and co-coordinated by Dr. Vijay Kumar, Asst. Prof, MTTC & VTC.
