Agartala, February 20, 2025: For the first time, Tripura will host the 73rd BN Mallick Memorial All India Police Football Championship-2025, scheduled to take place from February 24 to March 7. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will inaugurate the championship with a kickoff at Umakanta Mini Stadium on February 24.
Matches will be held across five venues, including Jirania, Mohanpur, Jampuijala, and Udaipur. More than 40 teams, representing various state police forces and paramilitary units from across the country, are expected to compete in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
Several committees have been formed to oversee the smooth organization of the tournament. Meanwhile, teams from outside the state have already started arriving in Tripura. This information was shared through a press release issued by the SP (Special Branch) office.
