Agartala, February 19: A dead body was discovered early this morning under the stage at Astabal Ground. Passersby noticed the body and immediately informed the police. Upon arrival, the police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
According to sources, the deceased was often seen roaming around the Lake Chowmuhani area like a vagabond. His identity remains unknown, but a local resident claimed that he was originally from Barjala Nepali Basti. The same source also mentioned that the man’s ear appeared to be partially eaten, possibly by a stray dog or cat.
Reports suggest that the deceased had been unwell for the past few days. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation to determine the cause of death.
