Tripura 9 Feb, 2025: Dharmanagar police achieved success in their anti-drug operation on Sunday afternoon. According to reports, at around 3 PM, personnel from the Anandabazar SPO camp were conducting a routine check when they noticed a suspicious Alt car bearing registration number TR05 0382.
Upon searching the vehicle, the police discovered a hidden compartment containing 50 bottles of Eskuf cough syrup and 4,000 Yaba tablets. The police immediately arrested Helal Miah, a suspected drug dealer, and took him into custody.
Following the arrest, Helal Miah revealed during interrogation that he had procured the illegal substances from a man named Karim Uddin of the Shesha Shakhaibari area. His plan was to transport the consignment to Kailashahar.
Dharmanagar police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and have begun further investigation into the case.
