President Droupadi Murmu casts her Vote in Delhi Elections

SHABD,Delhi, February 5, New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu cast her vote at the President’s Estate, while Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, along with his wife, also exercised his franchise.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar also cast his vote during the early hours.

Among the early voters were Union Ministers S. Jaishankar and Hardeep Singh Puri, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Election Commissioner Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, and Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora.
Other early voters included Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sandeep Dikshit, and AAP leader Manish Sisodia.
These elections are high-stakes for AAP, BJP, and Congress. AAP aims to retain power for a third term, while BJP is hoping to regain control after nearly 27 years. Congress, which once ruled the state for 15 years, is also hoping for a comeback.
The key candidates include Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, and Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, BJP’s Vijender Gupta, Pravesh Verma, Ramesh Bidhuri, and Kailash Gahlot, and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit, Haroon Yusuf, and Alka Lamba.
Voting for the Delhi Assembly elections began at 7 am IST, with several prominent leaders casting their ballots shortly after polling commenced. The single-phase voting will continue until 6 pm IST, and the results will be announced on February 8.
