Tripura 3 Feb, 2025: A tragic bike accident claimed the life of a 19-year-old youth and left another critically injured in Chirakuti, Kailashahar. The deceased has been identified as Prasenjit Rajbhar, while the injured, 23-year-old Ranjit Rajbhar, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Kalyanpur: A school student was injured due to electrocution during Saraswati Puja celebrations in Kalyanpur. The victim, Deepjoy Deb, a Class IX student of Kalyanpur Higher Secondary School, accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire connected to a puja pandal on School Road. He was rushed to Kalyanpur Hospital and later referred to Khowai District Hospital for further treatment. The incident created panic among locals.
Jolaibari: In another incident, a speeding bike lost control and plunged into a river at Kaklia, Jolaibari, under Shantirbazar subdivision. The rider, Sujit Tripura, and his pillion rider, Eleo Reang, sustained minor injuries. Both are residents of Birchandra Manu.
Moharchhara: Meanwhile, in a separate bike accident in Moharchhara, a young man was critically injured after his bike lost control and fell off a bridge. He was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
