Tripura 1 Feb, 2025: A preparatory meeting was recently held at the premises of Purnima High School in Khowai to organize the Jari Sari Festival and Milan Mela, jointly initiated by the Jari Sari Festival and Milan Mela Organizing Committee and the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs. The meeting was presided over by Aparna Singha Roy, Chairperson of the Khowai Zilla Parishad. Present at the meeting were Tinku Bhattacharya, Chairman of Khowai Panchayat Samiti; Uttam Adhikari, Vice-Chairman; and other dignitaries.
As per the decision taken in the meeting, the three-day-long Jari Sari Festival and Milan Mela will be held from February 7. The event will feature three days of cultural programs, along with ten stalls run by self-help groups.
Among others present at the meeting were Dilip Debbarma, Joint Director of the District Information and Cultural Office; Chandan Pal, a distinguished teacher; Biswajit Roy and Deep Pal, members of the Milan Mela Organizing Committee.
Chairperson Aparna Singha Roy urged everyone to cooperate in ensuring the smooth and peaceful execution of the Jari Sari Festival and Milan Mela.
