Tripura 23 Jan, 2025: A tragic road accident occurred in the Maharani area of Udaipur, claiming the life of a woman and leaving her husband critically injured. The deceased has been identified as Sukh Devi Jamatia. The injured individual is Karmadayal Jamatia.
According to reports, Karma Dayal Jamatia was traveling with his wife Sukh Devi Jamatia in an auto-rickshaw on their way to Khumulwng. In the Maharani area, a goods-laden truck collided with the passenger auto-rickshaw and fled the scene. The collision caused the auto-rickshaw to crash, severely injuring both passengers.
Firefighters rescued the injured individuals and rushed them to Gomati District Hospital. However, doctors at the hospital confirmed that Sukh Devi Jamatia had died before arrival due to severe head injuries.
The incident has sparked unrest in the area, and the police are actively searching for the driver of the runaway truck.
