Agartala: In a major operation, two Bangladeshi women were apprehended by the police at Agartala railway station for illegally entering India. The arrested individuals have been identified as Nilufa Begum (34) and Jiasmin (30), both hailing from Shariatpur, Bangladesh.
In a parallel development, on Monday, a joint operation conducted by the Border Security Force (BSF) and Sonamura Police Station led to the arrest of two human traffickers from Sonamura’s Matinagar area.
The traffickers were later handed over to the Agartala GRP Police for their involvement in a human trafficking case.
The arrested traffickers have been identified as Shahid Mia (33), a resident of Kulubari, Kazi Tilla under Sonamura Police Station, and Faichal Mia (19), a resident of Uttar NC Nagar, Fakira Dula under the same police station in Sepahijala district, Tripura.
