Tripura 20 Dec, 2024: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah visited Tripura to preside over the 72nd Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC). Upon his arrival at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala, he was warmly welcomed by Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha, MP and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, MP Kriti Devi Debbarma, and other dignitaries on behalf of the people of the state.
To mark his visit, the state government’s Cooperation Department has launched several initiatives:
Key Initiatives:
1. Exhibition Stalls:
A total of 18 stalls showcasing achievements in the cooperative sector will be set up to raise public awareness. Shri Amit Shah will inspect these stalls.
2. Flagging Off Mobile Vans:
• A mobile van for Bharat Brand products by the National Co-operative Consumers’ Federation Ltd. (NCCF).
• A rural mart mobile van provided by NABARD.
3. Distribution of Micro ATMs:
The Tripura State Cooperative Bank will distribute 50 micro ATMs to primary cooperative societies.
4. Inauguration of a Petrol Pump:
A new petrol pump built by the Tripura State Co-operative Consumers Federation Ltd. (TSCCF) in Chanban, Udaipur, will be inaugurated.
5. Opening a Consumer Store:
Shri Amit Shah will inaugurate the consumer store of Kta Bru Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. in the Bru settlement area of Hadukuluk, Dhalai district.
6. Launch of a Fertilizer Sale Center:
A fertilizer sale center at Daldoli LAMPS in Katlamara, Mohanpur sub-division, will be inaugurated.
7. Smart Training Center:
The Smart Training Center under the Tripura State Cooperative Union at Arundhutinagar will be opened.
8. Mini Pulses Seed Distribution:
Shri Amit Shah will initiate the distribution of mini pulses seeds by the National Co-operative Consumers’ Federation Ltd. (NCCF).
9. MoU Signing:
An MoU will be signed between the National Cooperative Organics Federation (NCOF) and the Tripura State Organic Development Agency.
