Agartala 16 December, 2024: On the occasion of Vijay Diwas, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu paid homage by laying a wreath at the War Memorial in Albert Ekka Park this morning.
Addressing the media, the Governor remarked that the day is dedicated to commemorating the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
He emphasized that this victory stands as a historic milestone for the nation. On this day, the Indian Army, in collaboration with Bangladeshi freedom fighters, triumphed in the struggle for Bangladesh’s independence.
The event also witnessed the presence of Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma and other esteemed guests.
