Agartala 10 December, 2024: The state cabinet has approved the creation and recruitment of 241 LDC posts under the Health Department. This decision was announced by Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury during a press conference held at the Secretariat after the cabinet meeting.

Minister Chowdhury further stated that the cabinet has decided to create and fill 161 technical posts in various sections of the Health Department. These include:

• 8 Physiotherapists

• 31 Audiometry Technicians

• 4 Dental Technicians

• 14 ECG Technicians

• 4 Computer Technicians

• 29 Radiographers

• 9 Junior Store Keepers

• 1 Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician

• 2 Speech Therapists

• 1 Cataloger

• 6 Dressers

• 1 Rehabilitation Assistant

• 7 Assistants

• 3 Ward Masters

• 19 Ophthalmic Assistants

• 6 Plaster Technicians

• 1 Carpenter

• 1 Library Assistant

• 1 Junior Librarian

• 1 Multi-Rehabilitation Worker

• 2 Audiovisual Technicians

• 1 Photographic Technician

• 2 TMT Technicians

• 1 Echocardiography Technician

• 2 PFT Technicians

• 1 Documentist

• 2 Psychiatric Social Workers

• 1 Physio Technician

The cabinet has also approved the creation and recruitment of 96 technical posts under the Industries and Commerce Department. These include:

• 6 Extension Officers

• 38 Field Assistants

• 25 Senior Instructors (Engineering)

• 17 Senior Instructors (Non-Engineering)

• 4 Store Keepers

• 6 Drivers

The minister added that the recruitment process for 6,067 Special Executives is nearing completion, and their appointment letters will be issued soon. The honorarium for Special Executives has also been increased from ₹11,000 to ₹13,000 as per the cabinet’s decision.
