The Government of Tripura has marked a historic milestone by achieving 100% success in the seventh phase (7.0) of the Mukhyamantri Sustha Shoishob Sustha Kaishore Abhiyan. This initiative, launched under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prioritize the health of children and adolescents, focuses on ensuring a healthier and stronger future for the state.
The campaign was conducted from October 24 to November 6, 2024, targeting critical health issues like parasitic infections, diarrhea caused by vitamin deficiencies, and anemia due to iron and folic acid deficiencies. Children and adolescents aged 0 to 19 years were provided with preventive medicines, vaccines, and supplements. This phase successfully covered 11,36,083 beneficiaries, ensuring 100% outreach.
Key Health Interventions
The Mukhyamantri Sustha Shoishob Sustha Kaishore Abhiyan included the following activities:
• Administration of Iron Folic Acid (IFA) supplements and Vitamin A doses.
• Distribution of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) packets.
• Vaccination with Td10 and Td16 vaccines for adolescents.
• Weight measurement of children under the Poshan Abhiyan.
• Awareness programs on pneumonia symptoms and Acute Flaccid Paralysis (polio surveillance).
• Identification and monitoring of measles and rubella cases.
• Counseling sessions highlighting the importance of breastfeeding.
• Early childhood health checks under the Home-Based Young Child Care program.
Reaching Every Corner of Society
ASHA workers played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the campaign by conducting door-to-door distribution of medicines and raising awareness. The campaign also reached marginalized communities, including tea gardens, brick kilns, slums, orphanages, and private educational institutions. Camps were organized in schools, colleges, Anganwadi centers, ITIs, and technical education centers to guarantee no child was left behind.

• 2.0 (March 21-31, 2022): 93.56% success
• 3.0 (September 5-15, 2022): 96.97% success

• 6.0 (February 9-22, 2024): 97.97% success
