The 35th Tripura Industry and Trade Fair is set to begin on January 29, 2025, at the Hapania International Fairground. This 15-day fair will run until February 12, 2025. The first preparatory meeting for the fair was held today in Meeting Room No. 2 of the Secretariat, chaired by Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, where this decision was confirmed.
Minister Chakma called for everyone’s cooperation to ensure the success of the 35th Tripura Industry and Trade Fair. She emphasized the importance of coordination and introducing new elements to make the fair even more attractive. Director of Industries and Commerce Bishwajit B. provided details on the pre-event preparations and measures taken to make the fair successful, highlighting the focus on sectors such as information technology, tourism, hospitality, and logistics. Rubber and bamboo industries will also feature prominently in the fair.
The event will include a food court and themed pavilions, as well as cultural performances organized by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department. Key attendees included West Tripura Zilla Parishad Chairperson Balai Goswami, Agartala Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta, Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Nabadal Banik, Tripura Tea Development Corporation Chairman Samir Ghosh, and Information and Cultural Affairs Department Director Bimbisar Bhattacharya, along with senior officials from various departments.
To ensure a smooth and successful event, committees including the steering committee, executive committee, and several sub-committees have been established.
