Agartala 12 November, 2024: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nanu visited the 400/132 kV Surjamaninagar Substation located in Paschim Noagaon, Surjamaninagar, operated by NER-2 Transmission Limited. Upon his arrival, the Governor was warmly welcomed by Sandeep Choudhury, the Zonal Head of NER-2 Transmission Limited.
Officials briefed the Governor on the substation’s operations, detailing the transmission of electricity to other states and, when needed, the import of power, along with the distribution of electricity to various regions.
Following his inspection, the Governor emphasized the crucial role of electricity in the country’s progress, stating that electricity usage is an indicator of a nation’s advancement.
Accompanying him during the visit were Ritwik Nandi, the officer in charge of the substation, Security Officer Alok Singh, and Admin Uttam Nath. This information was shared today by Raj Bhavan.
