Khumulwng 11 November, 2024: Bubagra Pradyot Manikya Debbarma, the royal scion and chairman of the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance, took a hands-on approach by personally driving the bus during the inauguration of the TTAADC Express service. This new service includes 52-seater air-conditioned CNG buses equipped with CCTV cameras, aimed at improving public transportation within the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and between the Khumulwng and the Agartala main city.
For over 20 years, the TTAADC had a transportation department without public transit options, making this initiative a significant milestone.
These buses are expected to benefit students, senior citizens, women, and the general public by enhancing connectivity and accessibility. Bubagra Pradyot expressed his happiness on social media, sharing the momentous occasion of driving a bus for the first time himself.
This initiative by the TTAADC government is seen as a positive step towards improving regional infrastructure and promoting development.
